Off to LA today at 11.30 am. Shuttle not here until 9.15 am so went down to the Cable Car depot and took a ride. It is $6 each trip. Trip was about 30 mins each way. I was the only one on there on the trip into the city. Was pretty good with some great views. The brakes on those things have to be good to stop on those hills. On the way back the tram was packed. I thought these things were just a tourist thing but the locals use them as public transport. I wanted to ride standing up like you see on the pictures but I got caught up in the rush and got stuck inside.
After this I got some breakfast and it was then time for shuttle to pick me up. Had to go through all the security checks again. Flight to LA is about an hour.
Got shuttle to hotel which took about an hour and a half. Hotel is good but seems to be a fair way from anything. Didn't do much just hung around hotel and had some room service.
