Got everything organized this morning so no episode like yesterday. Took the hop on bus to Universal Studios. Goth there about 10 am when it opened and got in the line.
After getting in went straight on the tour. This is the little trams that drive around, was ok, good to see some familiar sets like Back to the Future and Physco. it's amazing how they make things look so real. Then went to a show on special affects like green screen and fake blood. Most of the stuff they do nowadays is computer generated. I then went on a couple of rides,The Mummy which is just an inside roller coaster with this coming out at you. Then went on the Jurassic Park water ride, this was like the old log rides but a bit more like a roller coaster as well. Got absolutely soaked but up was really hot so didn't mind. After this had another look around but not that much else here so left.
Got back on hop on us to go down to the beach.
Bus went to Santa Monica pier this was like an amusement park with food and souvenirs and rides. I walked down to Venice beach. Was about 1/2 an hour down yo the beach and then there is street vendors selling stuff you don't want or need. There were buskers and freaks and people on roller blades just like you see on the TV. There was An old black guy busker whose act it was to break bottles into smaller prices and then jump off a chair on to the glass with bare feet. He was pretty good and had huge crowd. There were small bands playing music, black guys playing basketball and heaps of people on the beach playing volley ball or just sun baking. There were lifeguards in those boxes like on Baywatch. There was no one pumping iron though, I saw where they do it but was empty. I then walked back to the pier and caught the bus back. I must have been down there a couple of hours.
