Our sailing trip was booked for the afternoon so we had time for a relaxing morning after an early morning run. We met at the allocated tome and place and met our sailing companions for the next 2 days. It's was a multinational collection Spanish, German, French, Mauritian and two other English, an older couple were similar age to ourselves who were Kiwis now living in Australia. We set sail and watched dark clouds build and the winds really blew making some exciting sailing, we watched the rain clouds on the coast but managed to avoid the heavy rain. The boat was a 50ft ex racing yacht . It was advertised as spacious and comfortable, but with only one shower and toilet for 13 people and no cushions or proper seating in the cockpit it wasn't what we classed as comfortable it was more like basic even for hardened sailors like ourselves..The other English lady who hadn't sailed before didn't realise her bunk was in an open saloon sharing with three young men.
Our first stop was for snorkelling and we dressed ourselves in stinger suits which were not very attractive but apparently necessary. The snorkelling was good the food and the company was good and the sailing was great as the wind continued to blow hard we anchored in a bay for a rocky night.
