Sunday, we managed to have a short run along the harbour side . Today's excursion was to the island of Cheug Chau by ferry. This is a traffic free island where all the Hong Kong people escape to enjoy a fume free environment and some good fish restaurants. It's a bit like Padstow except a bit warmer! Everyone swarms around the shops and restaurants and they don't venture any further. The bike is the main form of transport for all the residents, the more elderly having stabilisers! We walked around the coast and found a deserted beach which enticed us in for a swim before returning to the town to sample the local fish. We were now getting pretty good with the chop sticks, cashew nuts and prawns were no problem!
We used another ferry in the evening to go to the harbour at Kowloon and watch the laser show which lights up the sky scrapers of Hong Kong Island. Laura cheekily had bought an over 65 pass as she said nobody would challenge us, anyway it proved to be very good. The fares are very cheap but with our passes some trips were even free.
To finish the night with a fling we went to the highest bar in the World. The Ozone bar on floor 118 of the ICC building, the 3rd tallest building in the World to enjoy drinks with a view!
