The intended early morning run did not happen as we overslept ! Still we enjoyed Eggs Benedicti and a leisurely breakfast instead. We managed to find our way along the harbour to the central area where the passing joggers and people doing their morning exercises made us feel guilty. We made our way to rendezvous with Laura via a street market where the health and safety executive have yet to visit! Hanging pieces of fresh meat being handled by the public while a man with fag in mouth was cutting the meat!
A trip on the tram to the Peak was on the agenda, we first went through a tropical park which was home to lots of apes of various species. The Peak was spectacular for the views and getting a true prospective of the crazy buildings in HK and Laura managed to find 2 geocaches on the trail around the Peak.
We caught a bus to Stanley, a seaside resort where you can watch the Hong Kong people promenade with their designer gear and designer dogs . Unfortunately I was not quick enough to get a photo of dog in pram with sunglasses on!
Laura thought we needed to eat a proper Chinese meal whilst in HK so dinner was in a really cheap market restaurant where we practiced our chop stick technique, luckily there was a spoon on hand otherwise we might have gone home hungry.
So we have travelled by trains, buses, trams and taxis today and managed not to get lost.
