Graham had to register and do a team photo this morning, so I opted to stay in the village. I wandered to the supermarket and explored shopping Mall which was part of a huge swimming pool complex which looked very exciting. I couldn't buy too much as I had to carry it up the hill so I had to wait for Graham to come back with the car to do a beer and wine shop. The family were arriving tonight and expected the fridge to be well stocked.
We returned to Geneva in the afternoon by which time the roads had been shut so an enormous traffic jam made it slow progress but eventually we parked the car and Graham racked his bike and went for a practice swim. The enormous GB team gathered for the parade and we managed to meet up with Simon and Elly having successfully completed their 12 day cycle down the Rhine to Basel and getting the train to Geneva. We decided we would take them back to the campsite by car as it is uphill from the city and navigating through the Geneva streets could be tricky, so it was a case of dismantling the tandem in the underground car park and putting it on the roof rack this was all very complicated and technical. I was panicking because I paid for the car park which was mega bucks and If you don't go out within a certain time it might not accept the ticket and I would have to pay again. Anyway with Graham in charge "the operation tandem on roof" went very well and we got out of the car park and back to the tranquility of the campsite.
Three tents now set up, on our pitch this is what you call "family camping" . Sarah and Duncan arrived at 10 30 Graham having picked them up from the airport.
Not too late a night for the travellers and the triathlete who was going to be up early.
