Ok so a bit more about my travels so far.
We have found that the best way to travel around certain places is by scooter (sorry mum, i finally told you so i feel i can now include it in my blog, please dont cringe when you here the stories!), which has been suprisingly cheap you can rent a scooter for about 2pounds a day. But we have heard stories that people who have scratched them have been taken for a ride, excuse the pun, by the renters. In Koh Phangang a Israli guy scrached the front panels of a bike, they told him they would have to fine him 2000bhat about 40quid. He didnt take this news well as he knew they weren't going to replace the parts. The then decided to call a mechanic to remove the parts, and then took about destroying them with a hammer! Fair enough i feel, the hotel didnt feel the same, they called the police and he was charged another 1000bhat. But still a great story.
When in Koh phangang, we did rent a quad bike because rosie couldnt drive a moped! (Please insert your own gender bashing comment here). But aparently, lee can not drive a quad bike! (please insert lee bashing comment here), we drove (slowly mum and with helmets) up a hill, i failed to turn and took the bike a little off road, we both then proceeded to fall off, i chose the comfortable location to land, ontop of a concrete post that someone had so kindly discarded! I had such a big bruse, the picture in my photos is the bruse a week later so you can imagine it was a little worse. But im fine so no need to panic.
Ohh the 30 foot cliff dive has really had our whole group limping today, I've brused my bum and my ribs, and two other girls have got huge bruses on their bums and one can barely walk. Luckily for her thailand are a little bit morally sketch on the pharmisutical front and you can get pretty much any drug in any quantity over the counter, so she has been on some kind of serious pain killers.
Phi phi is amazing, the waters are so crystal blue its just unbelievable. Today i have spent the day reading a book on the beach and swinging in a hammock, its a tough job but someones got to do it!
We ait at a restaurant last night, where th food was amazing. They had some cats running around, so i'm guessing hygine not their biggest priority, two of the cats were sat at the bottom of a large bottle fridge. it was a very unusual sight but seems to typify this part of Thailand.
It has been nice recently to travel in a big group of people, its great because trips etc are cheaper. We have been travelling with two swiss girls, 2 londoners, a dutch guy and girl, a new zealander and 2 german girls. It makes us, english people, feel bad that everyone else seems to speak atleast 3 languages but we only speak one. its a shame and its something ive noticed more and more whilst being out here.
With all that said i feel like im ready to move on to auz now and away from crazy thai people. I think the next stop on my travel at the moment is Phuket, which i have mixed feelings about, iv heard that its very touristy but im hoping that as its the quiet season it should be a little better.
I might update again in a few days, its strange but i feel my self missing a few of the western comforts at the moment. a toilet that flushes!!!!!! toilet paper!!!! good solid british food!!! TV (sad i know)! and a good bed to sleep in. Hope everyone is well back in England.
