Early start again this morning, well Lee had to wake me up I could of slept for a week. Lee turned on the t.v straight away to check the weather report, luckily the typhoon is not due till Friday afternoon and it going to the left of Hong Kong (so Lee tells me, one of my worst fears is bad weather I don't like not been in control because my imagination runs wild). When we came down in the lift the sign has now changed to level 3 typhoon. I wanted to know what that meant so I asked the security guy/information point.....well that was a load of good! I asked him about the sign on the lifts and he just continued to show me where the lifts were.
We missed the 9am ferry so got the 9.30 and a MacD's coffee to wake me up. You have to go through immigration to go to Macau and the ticket was £45 each return.
We got on the fast ferry it's like a catamaran it's very nice with comfy leather seats. Every shop, bus or boat you go on in Hong Kong is freezing though they just wack up the air con. So me and Lee are sat in shorts freezing, they probably think stupid tourists.
The sea is quite rough today so again my imagination runs off with itself. As soon as we got on the ferry the announcement said due to bad weather and rough sea please remain seated as it will be unsteady, well I could only imagine my face was a picture and Lee just laughed at me. The sea is rough but the catamaran is really fast so you probably don't feel it as much.
Ding dong another announcement we wait in anticipation because they always say it in Chinese first. Then in English due to the weather and rough seas our arrival time is delayed. Hmm my suggestion to Lee is to just get on the next boat back.
Then I have never experienced anything like that in my life PANIC ATTACK isn't even the word!! It was horrible the boat was up and down and side to side and I couldn't even see out of the window the spray was that bad. Mind made up def getting straight back on the next ferry.
The journey on the way back wasn't as bad, I don't know whether the boat was going slower or the waves where moving with the boat instead of against it! But I held onto my St. Christopher so tight, said 20 Hail Mary's and just listened to my music. I felt so sick as well and it's the first time I've really felt sick on a boat normally I am ok with travelling. Loads of people were throwing up which didn't help or the screaming child behind me.
Had sea legs when I got off the ferry and didn't feel good all day felt really dizzy even after a 2hr nap! That was enough excitement for one day.
Tip of the day - don't order chicken in China unless you know it's breast/fillet (which they hardly eat they believe the leg/wing and all the other crap parts are better). Ordered chicken curry but didn't eat the chicken it was really good though.
