We got off the boat, after routing for our bags in the mound at the back of the (some people stay on to go to Koh Lanta so their bags are mixed in and ours were at the bottom) then dragged the bags along the pier. Mid way down the pier there's a fee to get on the island of 20bahts pp. At the end of the pier and start of the town there are people trying to pull you in to arrange accomodation. We got picked up outside our guesthouse and headed to Krabi town pier. We picked up a Dutch couple on the way from Rotterdam who ended up being our friends for the trip. We arrived on the beach front - which looked like a seaside strip in Spain. There were bars, restaurants and shops. We packed up, left the bags in the room and went for breakfast. After breakfast we came back to get our things and the lady who ran the guesthouse told us the bus to Ao Nang was around the corner. It comes every 15mins and was 50 bahts each (£1) so we hopped on. We didn't realize it was a bus at 1st because it looked like the white van/tuk tuk/taxis but they let you know they're a bus and where they're going by shouting across the road to you.
