This morning we head for Tirana, the capital of Albainia. This country has only just been opened up to tourism. As we drive through the windy and dangerous roads of gravel there are parts where we can only drive at 7km/hr. As we drive past the locals, they stare at our bus as if they've never seen one before. There are blown up houses and a lot of construction where the locals are building there city. It's like no where I have been. There are 700,000 bunkers in Albania, and many donkey/horse and carts.
We arive in Tirana which is clean and very colour full (there are no grey building here). We have a local guided tour, who is very proud of his city. Before making our way out of the city into Vora to our hotel for the night.
After a pretty ordinary dinner we saw some fire works and decided to get an early night. Lauren and I had just gotten into bed when fire works and drums stared right outside our room (we were on the 4th floor). There was one of three wedding reception starting with the bride and groom walking down a path lit up by fire works. Apparently an albanian wedding consists of two receptions one for her side and one for his.
