Yesterday we started our seven year anniversary with an early bus journey to Mui Ne. The bus left Da Lat at 7.30 for a very bumpy ride, with both of us literally being thrown out of seats every 10 minutes! We arrived in Mui Ne at around 12, being dropped in the centre. However, the main road for accommodation is about 10km from here and we had been told that we could be dropped closer to there. It became clear quite quickly that this wasn't going to happen, so we shared a taxi with the only other two people on our bus!
When we arrived to check in we were a bit early, but the receptionist took us to their other hotel next door, where the restaurant and pool is, to wait. There are two pools with tables and sun beds around the edges and they are lovely, with incredible views out to the sea and really friendly staff. We grabbed some food and drinks until someone came to let us know we could go to our room. I had booked a standard room, but when we were taken in it was actually nicer than some of the deluxe rooms we have stayed in! There is a living area and bathroom downstairs and then a separate upstairs with the bed! It was lovely to have got somewhere so nice for our anniversary!
We spent the rest of the afternoon having some cocktails by the pool before going back to get ready for our anniversary meal. We decided to stay at the hotel and use their restaurant, which had amazing food and the nicest chocolate fondant dessert!
There isn't much to say about today and we have spent all of it sat by the pool, having some much needed chill out and tanning time! We have stayed at the hotel again tonight for a quiet one as we have booked the sunrise jeep tour to see the sand dunes tomorrow, meaning we have to be up and ready for 4am!
