Today was our second day around the temples. We started with an hour and a half drive out to Banteay Srie. This was a temple surrounded by lovely gardens and rivers which made a really nice setting to walk around. From here we drove a bit further to Kulen Mountain, which is where the waterfalls are. After arranging to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat and some of the other temples yesterday, I ended up ill the night before so we didn't end up going. Feeling better later on we rebooked it for today. Since finishing at the school we haven't really done very much! We have spent most of the time by the pool and enjoying not doing a lot! We went into town to send a load of stuff home which should make the rest of our time a bit easier with less to carry! Last night we went out for a meal with a few people we have met where we are staying as it was their last night here. We decided to stick with our gut instinct meaning we finished volunteering today. This meant lots of mixed emotions! We are still sure that a week is enough time for us, as we are both mentally and physically exhausted! Being in the classroom in the 33degree heat, walking the mile long walk there and back twice a day and trying to keep up to 19 kids engaged is pretty full on! Today we started volunteering. I had felt really unwell yesterday and was even worse this morning, which mixed with the nerves wasn't a good combination! I pushed through and we arrived at the school where we were told we could teach together and given a 10 minute talk before being put in front of a class of 15 students with no idea what to do!
