After a chaotic morning getting to the Bus Terminal I managed to eventually get onto the bus for Delphi!

The bus ride was pretty good as bus rides go. The buses used for regional trips are really comfy and very reliable! I was also able to see some amazing scenery on my way through the mountains on the way through to Delphi! Absolutely stunning! And that wasn't even the best of it!

On arriving in Delphi I was absolutely blown away! Delphi is a small town situated on the side of a mountain in a huge valley and it is a fair drop from the town to the bottom! After settling into the hotel there, I met up with a friend I made in Athens who I was going to do Delphi and Meteora with. He's a 23 year old Pom (I tried not to hold that against him!) and he's a really nice guy!

Delphi used to have massive importance in Ancient Greece as the base of their mythology. According to myth, Zeus released two doves at either ends of the world and Delphi is where they met, thus making it the centre of the world! Delphi is also where the ancient oracle was situated, where leaders came from all over the world to get her advice! Therefore that morning we went to the ancient site of Delphi and the associated museum. It was truly amazing to see how much has remained intact and just to wander the ancient city is great! We then headed back to watch the amazing sunset over the valley in Delphi.
