Yesterday we made our way to Vienna. On the way we stopped in the town of Mondsee which not only houses the church used for Maria's marriage scene in the Sound of Music but also houses the amazing cafe Braun. The church was beautiful but the highlight was definitely the best ever apple strudel that I shared with Clare and Claire - one with ice cream and one with a vanilla sauce - yum! We also had to time to stop on the outskirts of Vienna to fit in a quick visit...

Yesterday afternoon we arrived in the picture perfect Salzburg. We had an amazing three-course group dinner that consisted of sauerkraut, succulent roast pork and veggies, and then a decadent chocolate cake (Sachertorte) with apricot jam in between, thick icing and of course cream! We made up for the huge dinner with a huge day today. We spent 13-14 hours sightseeing, starting at 8am in the local food markets for our first pretzel, a stop at a special chocolate ...
