We woke up and took out bags downstairs, popped to the shop and then waited at the bus stop for our greyhound bus to Airlie Beach, the next stop on our tour of the coast.
The bus was actually pretty nice, air con, comfortable seats, wifi and USB charging facilities.
We've officially been out long enough now that we are seeing people we know from other places and 2 guys from the uncle Brian's tour in cairns were on the same bus.
The 8 hour journey down to Airlie beach actually wasn't as bad as I had first thought it would be.
Once there we got the shuttle to the hostel - base backpackers and headed to our room. This time we were sharing with 4 lads who were not very sociable.
We quickly changed and headed out to find some lunch. Beaches down the road from us was pretty cool with good dinner deals so stayed there before heading back to the hostel for an earlyish night.
Unfortunately one of the guys had a major snoring problem which kept us awake a lot of the night! Ironically he had ear phones in!
