This blog entry is not written yet - sorry! It will tell of the journey to, and the day spend on the island of Delos; archaeological site.

This morning we caught a €25 thrill ride (taxi) down the winding road full of hair-pin corners down to the port of Santorini. This is a strange place that has been carved into the cliff-edge and perched right on the water for easy ferry access. There are lots of rent-a-car or motorbike, or quad bike places here, some ferry company ticket offices, a cafe and some accommodation sprukers, the ferry terminals and that's about it. You won't even find an ATM here....

After a late, light breakfast of fresh fruit and yoghurt, and another disgusting cup of filter coffee, I went off exploring Oia, where we are staying. Last day in Athens for a little while anyway. Spent the morning looking at more significant archaeological ruins /sites, firstly the Temple of Olymian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, then the Temple of Dionysius at the base if the Acropolis. I found the ancient theatres most interesting - beautifully, symetrically designed. Today we both felt a bit travel weary so we took things a bit easier and didn't venture too far afield from our hotel. In the morning we visited the Jewish Museum which was interesting and quite sobering.
