After a very sweaty night's sleep (our ceiling fan doesn't really do much!), we had a lazy morning at the hotel...and the rest of the day followed suit! We spent most of the day sat at the bar talking to William and the other guests who came and went.
In the afternoon, Dan, the owner, came down from Phnom Penh with his family as they're here for New Year. Dan is English and works as the sports editor at the Phnom Penh Post. The Magic Sponge is one of his businesses...all this and he's only 30! He has got a media pass for the Olympics this summer as he's pretty much the onlty sports editor in Cambodia!
That night we went to one of the riverfront restaurants to eat and then went back to the hotel. We spent the rest of the night chatting to Dan who was working behind the bar, giving William a well deserved night off! We got chatting to some of the other guests too. We'll miss this place when we leave tomorrow. We're wishing we'd just stayed here for New Year but we've already booked a hotel in Kep taht we can't cancel, so we're heading the short distance there tomorrow.
