Laura's Travels
Right so we spent a couple of days in Hoi An where we just generally chilled out, shopped and munched on some really yummy food. A pretty quiet town compared to others we've visited though still a few things to do. With tailors lined up on every single street we were spoilt for choice on the clothes front. The girls had a few bits and pieces made to measure, I opted out though (call me a spoil sport but was just a tad anxious as to how the clothes would turn out hmmm). Overall the girls were pretty pleased with their purchases. Along with every girls favourite pastimes ie. shopping and eating .. we also did some touristy stuff - had a wander round the old part of town - quite sweet really. Visited a couple of really old houses and a few temples, very pretty.
Okay so at the moment, we're in Saigon - been here for the last few days. We've had a look round the city (it's huge!!); visited Notre Dame Catherdral (yep they have one here!) the cu chi tunnels and the Vietnam war museum ... so so interesting yet quite upsetting at the same time, quite an eye opener. Probably the most exciting thing that's happened since been in Saigon though is meeting up randomly with some girls from home. Lauren and I popped out to get food late one night from this 24 hour convenience store and we bumped into a girl I was really friendly with on Kesher and Tour .. so so bizarre! We met up with her and friends the following evening for dinner ... was gorgeous! Off on a boat trip tomorrow for 2 days along the Mekong Delta river up to Cambodia - very very excited as it's meant to be really beautiful. Hope alls well with everyonw at home!
Much love x x x
