8th September:

At breakfast we met Brody who was joining our group for the next part of the tour and he came with us for the day. We walked 45minutes along the coast to the shopping centre, that I went to the previous day, spilt up to shop for an hour or so and then met up for sushi (I had Thai green curry!). Then we went to the cat park. Lima used to have lots of pigeons so they imported lots of cats but then they breed too much and now there's a park full of cats. On Sundays the local people go to the park and adopt them. We found a craft market close by then headed back to the hotel.

At 6:30pm we had a meeting to meet the next group of people and our your leader who is taking us from Lima to La Paz. Darinka flew home in the afternoon, Christine and Kristen flew at midnight and Kerstin swapped groups. So there's now Nicole and I, Ellen, Lara, Laura, graceyella, Claudia and Tobias. Plus Katie from Wales, Serena from Windsor, Rochelle from NZ, Sinead Ireland, May and Olly Australia, Mark Australia, Neil and Marcus Germany, Brody Australia. And our guide Edith!

We went for dinner as the originals plus Mark and Brody then to a really cool bar, where we sat in the garden drinking Piscosours which was lit up with fairy lights and bunting.
