12th October Spent the morning sleeping after getting in very late, then went to La Boca in the afternoon to explore the colourful buildings at the port. In the evening we had our meeting with our new CEO Romy and the 5 new people, Ellie and Ferdy from Belgum, and Sarah, Natalie and Joseph from Germany. Romy took us to a percussion gig down town then we followed a street band to the after party - the music was incredible, sooo much fun! At the club a local punk...

11th October Early morning flight from Salta to Buenos Aires. Karem took us for a tour of Av Florida and the main square, then to the Sunday market for browsing and Chozipan (sausage sandwhich). Graceiella, Sinead and I then spent the rest of the afternoon browsing down Av Florida and then checked into the hotel. For our last evening of the third tour we went to see a tango show and then to a couple of bars across town.

10th October Fantastic day in Salta horse riding, eating steak and wine! My horse looked quite like Salvador from the Lares trek so I named him Salvador the great. We rode for three hours along side fields and roads, and even through a village, and near the end I got to go for a gallop. It was a bit rainy and very grey so unfortunately we couldn't see the surrounding mountains but they had a huge electric heater, and of course a fire the meat was cooked on, so ...

9th October Two nights in Chile and we left for Argentina. Lara and I made the most of our time on the bus and mended our rucksacks then started the read 'Wild' together. We arrived in Salta and went out to a local restaurant for steak and wine.

8th October After an early start yesterday we had a lie in and brunch in a little cafe, then walked around the town. Like Uyuni, there was nothing to do in the town but it was much prettier and welcoming so we enjoyed just wondering around, sitting in the square and then sunbathing back at the hotel - enjoying the first hot weather since Mancora!
