Hi turds,
As usual we have been very busy, no rest for the wicked! After leaving LA we made a stop at San Pedro, Long Beach. Very nice and quiet here, very mislaedaing becuase there isnt actually a beach called 'Long Beach', it is the name of the town. However, Long Becah was lovely, we went to the pier which is a fishermans paradise, there were boats left, right and centre! We said this is a place we could live.
Next stop, San Diego! We loved it here, we were sad to leave after a week (this is the longest place we have stayed). We kept ourselves busy with numerous trips to Sea World, Tanya wants to now become a marine biologist. Said she could practise with my dads fishpond. We loved it here, like big kids, we stayed until the evening to watch the dolphin and whale shows, they were fatanstic.
We also spent a few days in down town and old town, they were both very different but equally intriguing. We vistited Balboa Park which is lovely, lots of museums and beautiful scenery. This was a really chilled out day, very good as we both had a slight hangover! We met lots of friends here, we spent a few days with an American guy and an Australian girl (who met while on this trip and are now a couple! Sorry to embarrass you Kate). Also two guys from Canada, they were really interesting to talk too as they were Mormons, very passionate about what they believe. We also met a French dude who Laura will eventually marry. He is so cool.
We went to San Juan Christiano, the first missonary in California, it was built in the 1700's but was destroyed in an earthquake in the late 1800's, however people still come here to worship because of the spirtit that they belive will always be here. It is really beautiful and tranquil.
We had ourselves abit of a road trip and went to Orange County, spent the day on Newport beach and Laguna beach. We needed a day off!! Looked for Seth but we couldn't find him! Gold star to those of you who know what we are talking about xx
Next stop, Phoenix, Flagstaff and Grand Canyon. (Arizona).
Over and out xx
