Sorry fans, we've been busy trecking the world!
We had a very eventful journey from San Diego to Arizona. The journey took a very long, 6 hour drive through the dessert, although the Tornado which tried to knock us off the road made the drive a litlle more eventful. There we were, singing along to Leona Lewis minding our own business when Laura spots a bit of wind coming our way. In the words of Gloria Gayner, 'I will Survive'!!!! Laura's driving skills were put to the test and after a little bit of swerving, we averted tradegy! Although it was quite scary at the time, it was a cool experience to see a tornado first had, pretty impressive!!
We arrived in Phoenix too a soaring temp. of 114 F, even the pool didn't help cool us down. We would tell you what we did in Phoenix but we can't actually remember, the high temp. made us too sleepy!
Next stop, Flagstaff. This is where we meet our new friend Crystal, from Pennslyvania. From flagstaff we took a road trip to the Grand Canyon, it is as big and beautiful as you can imagine. We spent the whole day there to see the sunset, we had a great day. The next day we headed to Sedona, no tornados but alot of mountain rock. Sedona is the most gorgeous town we have been to so far. This is by far our favourite place, the scenery is amazing, its really quiet and peaceful here. After a hard day, we went out on the town, was very fun.
After saying goodbye to Crystal we crossed the boarder into Utah, staying in a small town called Hurricane, just outside Zion National Park. We were only here a few nights and spent our day at Zion, believe it or not, we did some hiking up some of the trails, looking for waterfalls. It was a fantastic day, but we were very tired by the end.
Still having fun, starting to miss our home comforts. We are really looking forward to a meal we don't have to pay for!! The tans are coming along well, we are really enjoying meeting lots of new people and making new friends along the way.xx
