On the drive towards Rockhampton, we passed a horse skills show. We stopped off in Rocky so Alice could buy some sunglasses and to get some food.

I had found out that there was a free campsite in Bororen, but it was a bit confusing because there was a sign with a camping symbol with 2 km written below it, and we had got much further than 2 km out without seeing further instructions as to where it was, so we turned around and saw the same sign when we went the other way, but still couldn't see it so we parked where the public toilets were.

It was still quite early, so thought we'd have a drink in the pub, to see what Bororen locals are like. They were all gawping at the NRL match that was on (so can't really give much insight as to their personalities) but we got chatting to some boys who were working in Gin Gin, and staying at their bosses campsite in Miriam Vale. They said we could park there if we wanted, so we left (and didn't get to play the 'throw a ring around the hook' game on the wall) to follow them, and share their rum. It sounded like it was quite boring there and they were glad to have company.
