We got up early so that we could get to Agnes Water for the 10am surf lessons for $17. We missed the sign so carried on until 1770, where we had loads of time to kill, so had a banana and strawberry smoothie in 'The Tree' cafe.
It was good that we were reminded of the skills to surf, because I definitely had forgotten since Newquay, and the waves seemed a bit more difficult to ride (either that or I was a lot lazier this time round). I only managed to stand up once or twice.
After that we checked out the photos and booked our Fraser Island trip at the travel agents, which also had free Wi-Fi.
We used the showers at a campsite, and then went up to the lookouts that the travel agent told us about. She said if you go off a bit from the track, dolphins always appear on the left at about 4.30pm, and some of her friends had spotted whales on the other side. We were trying to find the place to see dolphins because that sounded like it was a bit more guaranteed but we actually say a whale flicking its tail, and another baby one. It was cool eating dinner and watching, and then once they'd gone, watch the sunset.
We drove back to Bororen to stay the night.
