The official outback spectacular, a tribute to 'phar lap', the infamous Australian racehourse! He won the Melbourne cup in 1930 and nothing could touch him! His sire originated from britain and his trainer believed he had the makings of the best! At first he was sluggish and a harsh training regime finally paid off when the strapper tried racing him against a slow horse, letting him get behind and then letting the handbreak off!!!His strapper worshiped the ground he walked on and without him, he'd fret and not eat! At 6 years old, he went to race in America and won although he didn't make it back alive! Many conspiracy theories exist about bookmakers poisoning him however the most likely is that his strict, forceful trainer told the strapper to give him a supplement that was not soaked!
