Hoorah!!!! we have made it - we are here in Oz you will see from the photos the excitment when we started to fly over Australia was amazing but what we didnt realise even though we we flying over oz we still had another 4 hours to go. It is massive, and I have now learnt from a little old lady in the supermarket is that you can fit the whole of England into Victoria alone four times over!!!!
Well after being checked out at melbourne airport by the sniffer dogs, and nearly got busted for the illegal contents of our bags and suitcases, these were some spices for Ang from Singapore, the contents of the goody bag for Marie, PG tips and galaxy chocolate none of which we were supposed to bring through, we made it safe and sound and the feeling of knowing Ang and John were on the other side of the barrier was immense.
Anyway as we walked through arrivals all we could see and hear was Ang running and crying at the same time, she was stood (as you will see from photos next to all the chaffuers with a big sign saying welcome to Oz lady T & Sian - as usual some strange looks were coming our way and I cant explain the feeling of seeing and hugging each other again and the fact that I was actually here in Australia. As I looked up Sian was also in the biggest hug with John.
We got outside the airport only to see the gold Rolls Royce waiting - we laughed and rembered back to when we sent Bryan in his RR to fetch Ang for her birthday treat a few years ago - Bryan it wasnt no where near as nice as yours !!!!
We the set off up the costal road back to Mornigton -home for the next few weeks as we arrived here Gemma and the girls were waiting -Little Abigail was now a big girl but remebered Auntie Teresa & Sian as though we saw her yesterday, but little Chloe was only a little baby when she left but didnt remember us but within half an hour was chasing Sian around this amazing house - there are curently 9 of us living in the Dixie Big brother house as Ryan has moved back home for a short while -'Poor Ryan' was the first one who got evicted first as Sian and I moved into what he was calling his room - but as we explained I have had it booked for a good few years now.
Oh I forgot to mention on our journery home from Melbourne we stopped at Mornington Pier and watched the sun come up as you will see below the view is like nothing you can imagine. We then drove down the main highway into Mornington and across the bridge over the road was a great big sheet hanging welcoming us to Australia - these Dixies really pulled out all the stops to give us a great welcome, I was amazed at how wide awake we both were considering we had not really slept on our second night in Singapore and not slept on the plane here we felt ab fab -prob the excitment and adrenaline kicking in.
After we had given out the presents from home for everyone we all went down to 'Boys for Breakie' a cafe/resturant in Mornington that is run by a very nice gay gentleman called John - I have to say his eggs benedict were the best I have ever tasted- going back next week to try the salmon eggs benedict.
We managed to stay awake until mid agternoon and then both crashed on the sofas at the top end of the house - we were only allowed to slepp for an hour - the boss woke us up so we would sleep through the night -and that we did ..................
I really can t believe I am actually here IN AUSTRALIA - Sian is having fun with the boys and it is like her and Ryan have never been apart - the 2 lads from stroud arrived to meet us in our pyjamas later on in the evening and gues what one of them knows Tamsin ----look out girlie I am finding out all your secrets, he has been here for a year and is coming home next week his name is 'prezz' aka Alex and the other one is Warren - they are planning to take Sian out for a night on the town later in the week - think she is a bit frightened - thank god Gemma is here to look after her.......my baby out with those Dixie boys - I should be frightened
We have had some amzing meals and remembered just how much of a good cook Ang was - Sian is in her element
So we are here and looking forward to the weeks ahead - prority is to get my hair done in this wonderful salon over here Ang said she is not taking the badger out on mornington
So thats all for now folks catch up with you all soon love to you all especially dolores - hurry up and get out of that hospital
