Our first sunset across the Indian Ocean! From Augusta we drove through Margaret River, stopping to buy the obligatory bottle of wine, then through Bunbury to Leschenault conservation Park. We set up camp early so the boys could go for a fish. Kaidan was the only one to catch anything - he caught 1 little fish and so we had chicken for dinner. It gets dark about 6pm at the moment. In bed by 8pm! Ps. I can use my right hand fully now but still some lumps.

Today we are leaving the Muirs farm after a lovely relaxing 6 days. The boys have had some driving lessons in the old ute. All the kids have got along really well, playing backyard cricket, playing on the trampoline and scooters and just hanging out. Jeff has been great, helping around the house and farm. A highlight for him is the roast lamb and stickydate pudding that Leanne cooked to say thank-you. Jeff did some work over the past day - I knew a work-free h...

We visited the Gloucester Tree with Leanne and the girls. The Tree is a large Karri tree with a lookout at the top (61m). The boys and I climbed part of the way up and I got sweaty palms! I remember climbing quickly up this tree with Leanne about 15 years ago with no issues!! The scenery in this National park is beautiful.

Kaidan has spent all day in the shearing shed! He is learning the ropes quickly. Both the boys learnt how to pull a sheep to the shearer, however Josh chose not to stay working in the shed all day. It is lovely to see Leanne, Rod, Samantha, Rhys, Taije and Zoe in their gorgeous rammed earth house. It is raining today for the first time this year, everyone is happy.

Today we drove from Esperance to Albany and visited 'Whale World' at the old whaling station that stopped operating in 1978. Albany is a very pretty town on a lovely bay. We then drove to the Muir's farm in Mordalup - they are shearing this week. I'm looking forward to showing the boys.
