Kya Travels
We slept in pretty late today, then tried not to wake Ciaran who was sleeping in the lounge as we grabbed our guitars then went back up to our room and played for a while. After a while (and at a very decent time) we went and woke Darren, then went to sort out our washing. When we came back downstairs, Darren was gone, so we headed up the street to a little bakery where I got a sandwich and Daz got a chicken curry, then after we ate we went back to the house. We met Darren, grabbed our bag of washing, then walked together around to one of Darren's friends houses. We met Matt and Chris, who were a couple of gamers, doing a game development course at uni, so they were studying for their exams. (Or just gaming, I'm not sure!) We used their washing machine to put on our clothes, then we hung out with them chatting for a little while. After a bit it was time to go pick up another couple of couchsurfers who were arriving into the bus station, so we left our clothes going and dropped back to Darren's for jackets before walking into town. We got to the bus station where we met Leah and Steve from the US then walked back home. Ciaran was still asleep when we got there, so we woke him up then hung out together having a chat and a drink. Daz and I went down to the shops to get a few ingredients for dinner and some beers, then when we got back the others had started cooking dinner. We had some beers and a chat, then had a yummy mash and veggie bake for dinner, before getting back to some guitar playing. After a while we went back to Matt and Chris' place to pick up our clothes, then put them in the dryer at Darren's before getting ready and heading out with everyone except Ciaran, and went in to Paedar O'Donell's again. We watched the traditional music there and had a beer, then headed off and went up to Masons, where they had a Rory Gallagher tribute band, called Cradle Rock, playing. This was really cool to see, because its a band that Darren and Ciaran love, and have been showing us a lot of during our stay, so it was cool to hear some of the songs live! The band was really tight and talented, and we enjoyed all of the show, except the couple of really drunk guys at the front who kept walking into us and stealing the singers microphone! After a few drinks, the show finished, so we headed off, and got some cool looking photos in the street where they had some cool Christmas lights, then we went down to hillbillies again! Darren got chicken and I got curry chips again, which were still yummy. We walked home after that, and hung out a while watching some YouTube videos, then eventually got to bed at around 4am!
