We got up today and went to the hostels breakfast room for a cooked breakfast. Darren got a porridge, and I got a vegetarian fry, which is what they call the big breakfasts here (that or Irish Breakfast, anyway). On my plate was an Irish dish that I've never had before, called potato bread. It's so delicious! I wish I just had the whole plate of potato bread! Yum! Today we had a glorious sleep in! Nothing to do, and nowhere to be. It was amazing! We got up at almost midday, and the boys went to sort out the payment for the room, and do some washing while I Skyped my sister (although by the time we'd figured out how to Skype each other they were back!). It was a very lazy morning! Haven't had one of them in ages! When we eventually got ready, we went for a walk up the street and got some lunch in a little cafe called sugar ...

We got up today, and got ready for our black cabs tour. We were a little disappointed that they weren't all actual black cabs! The one we got was more like a yellow maxi taxi from home!! Our driver took us around the town, explaining the troubles of the last 40 years or so. We stopped first in the Protestant (British) side of town, Shankill, where we got out and walked up and down the streets looking at the giant loyalist murals that were painted on the sides of ...

We got up today, checked out, and jumped on the bus to make our way up around the Northern Ireland coastline. We stopped by the side of the road for a quick (and freezing) photo of Dunluce castle, which is the remains of a castle that was built on the edge of a cliff. Apparently half of the castle had collapsed into the sea while people were still living there, and the host was more worried about the dinner that had fallen down than the servants who were cooking ...

Today we got up and headed back over the border into the republic. The border follows the river boyne, but at Derry it jumps out and goes around the town, so the town is considered Northern Ireland. We stopped at a supermarket to pick up some lunch for the day, then headed into Donegal and to Glenvaugh National Park. When we got to the visitor centre we got on another bus which took us in to Glenvaugh Castle. We got a tour of the castle which had rooms on display...
