Kya Travels
When we woke up this morning, Darren wasn't feeling the best. Something in the food maybe? But we had to check out so we packed up and went to meet the guys downstairs. We checked out and put our baggage in the store room then went over to the train station to buy some tickets and try find something to help Darren. We found some throat lozenges, and went to buy some tickets but the sleeping compartments for the night train were all sold out! We went back to the hotel to try sort out what we were going to do, then ended up going back to the train station and booking a second class ticket on the night train. We can only hope now that there'll be a seat for us so we can sleep on the train! I don't really fancy the idea of a train from 9pm to 7am sleepless! After that we went to KFC and got a meal, I ate Darren's chips and coleslaw, then we went back over to the hotel. The boys had gone, they had a flight to catch, so we missed out on saying goodbye to them! We went to sit by the pool for a bit and I had a coffee then we went into the lobby again and lay on the couches for a bit. Darren had a snooze and I wrote in the blog for a bit to catch up on a few days. (The wifi still wasn't working!) After a while we went out to the pool again for a swim, then found a couple of banana lounges where we lay sun baking. We jumped in and out of the pool a few times, then when the sun was about to disappear behind the buildings we dried off in the sun for a bit before heading off. We went across to the station again (lucky it's only across the road!) and went to a restaurant there for some dinner of pizza and pasta, then went back to the hotel and picked up our bags and went back to the station again. We tried maccas for some wifi but it wasn't working so we went to a little cafe for a juice and used theirs for a bit before we headed out to get on the train. We were early but it was already filling up, so we quickly jumped on and found a couple of seats next to some girls who had a massive suitcase between the seats. We maneuvered our way around the suitcase and settled in for the ride. We got talking to the girls next to us, Nadja and Radiaa who were sisters, heading home to Rabat, which was about 5 hours into the trip. We had a really good chat with them, played some table drums, shared some YouTube videos, and joked around with each other, and Nadja and I both had a couple of mini snoozes too. At one stage when Nadja was snoozing, Darren pretended to kiss her head for a photo, which was pretty funny. We eventually made it to Rabat and Radiaa gave me the pendant off her necklace to remember them by, which was a symbol guarding against negativity. We were sad to see our new friends go, but it was time to try get some sleep anyway, so Darren took a sleeping tablet to help him, and we snoozed on and off the rest of the way there.
