When we woke up this morning, we grabbed our stuff and moved into the room next door, which is the one we had been in last time, which had a TV! We got to pick our beds as we were the first ones in, so we got two bottom bunks! Yay! I had a Skype session with Jace, Kelsey and Tiana who were all at Jaces, which was very nice, then we went for a walk to a cafe on our street called Café Toc, where we met Eilleen and Mel. We got some lunch, I got some yummy quesadillas, and had a chat and a laugh with the girls before organising to meet up later and go tenpin bowling together! After we finished lunch we headed back to our hostel to get some socks, cold and flu tablets, and have a cuppa before going back out to what we thought was the bowling place! Turns out its not... It was called 'tepih' or something! It was a rug store!! So we went back to our respective hostels, got some directions, then met up with the girls again. The bowling place was only a 20min walk away, but Mel wasn't keen for a walk so we went down to the bus stop where we ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a bus! Eventually we got on a bus and it went the wrong way!! We stayed on for the ride though, and it ended up looping back around and going where we wanted it to. We got off the bus (behind someone who was being kicked off for not having a ticket!) and found Octopus, the bowling place. We went in, got some shoes and some beers, and started to bowl! Mel, who had never done it before, was a natural after a few tips from Darren! We played one game and in between shots I was transferring photos from the girls' memory cards to my iPad. After one game we played a 'cow race' which was a race to the finish line, where your cow moved however many meters, according to how many pins you knocked down. We smashed through that game, ordered 3 liters of beer in a big tap, then played one more game. During this game a big group of kids came in for a party, and started singing karaoke over the loud speaker! That was pretty funny! Mel got annoyed at something during this game too, and cracked the sads, so when we finished, we payed and headed off. We walked down to the bus stop and got a bus into town where we said our goodbyes to the girls, who were catching an overnight ferry to Italy that night. Darren and I went over to a little vegetarian fast food place I'd been eyeing off and ordered some food. When it was ready we took it back to the hostel to eat. But it was pretty average and disappointing. Not even vegetarian places get vegetarian right in Croatia!! So we hung out a while longer using the wifi and watching TV in our room. We watched a movie with Steve Carrell that we thought was going to be a comedy, but wasn't, then eventually went to bed.
