Well we arrived in Coogee beach two days ago but unfortunately it hasn't stopped raining! Wasn't expecting this from Australia. We have made the most of the rainy days and watched lots of movies and updated our journals. Finally today the weather seemed to let up and we were able to go down to Coogee beach. Today we decided to visit the contemporary art museum which unfortunately was undergoing changes so we were only able to view one level of exhibitions. It didn't take us long to look around but the art work was good. After this we decided to walk across harbour bridge which gave us some very good views of the opera house and city centre. Today we had some pretty rubbish weather so we actually spent the morning writing up our journals and watching Bondi Rescue in our room! It's very strange watching Bondi Rescue when your in Sydney! Today we took the ferry across Sydney harbour to Manly Beach. Whilst waiting for the ferry we saw six aeroplanes all in formation doing a display above the opera house and bridge, which was unexpected, but a great sight. The cruise through the harbour allowed us to capture some amazing views of the opera house, bridge and city centre. Today we took the train to Doonside and visited Featherdale Wildlife Park. The first thing we saw were wallabies walking around the park. You were able to go up to them and stroke them, and they were very friendly animals. One particular young wallaby took a liking to Richard and started to follow him around...they obviously realised he was part of their species!
