In the blistering heat we did what every tourist should in LA and took a movie stars home tour! We primarily took this tour because it meant we could see more of this vast city. Just a short walk away from where we are staying is the Hollywood Walk of Fame so we decided to explore the long line of stars that occupy the pavement. There are many big names including Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson, Sandra Bullock, Elvis Presley and many more. Back in California and we are now staying a stones through away from Hollywood Boulevard. We had an early start today to make it to Fisherman's wharf in time for our trip to Alcatraz. We allowed plenty of time for the train and bus there, which turned out to be a good thing because we didn't foresee me nearly fainting on the train, which was an unexpected experience. Today started off very grey and we were unsure of what we wanted to do. Luckily for us the sun came out and we were able to catch the bus to the Presidio which is a large park home to an old army barracks and is what marks the start of the Golden Gate Bridge.
