Just a short walk away from where we are staying is the Hollywood Walk of Fame so we decided to explore the long line of stars that occupy the pavement. There are many big names including Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson, Sandra Bullock, Elvis Presley and many more. We found out that the star has to pay $30'000 to have a star and if they are alive they have to attend the ceremony otherwise they won't get a star!

Also along Hollywood Boulevard is the Dolby Theatre which is where they hold the Oscars as well as the Chinese Theatre where many movie premieres have taken place. Outside of the Chinese Theatre are hand and foot imprints of many famous stars including Marilyn Monroe. It was pretty cool to see the different imprints span over the years, some having been done over 80 years ago.

We had decided to go to the cinema to see Transcendence in IMAX which happened to be linked to the Chinese theatre but we hadn't expected that the actual film would be shown in the theatre. We were very lucky as most people have to pay for a tour but we got to see it as part of the movie. It was a pretty spectacular theatre and you never know what famous people have sat in our seats...the film was pretty good too.
