Back in California and we are now staying a stones through away from Hollywood Boulevard.

Although close to a lot of must sees like the Walk of Fame and the Kodak theatre we decided to first head to Universal Studios. We were able to take a studio tour which took you around the studios where you were able to see lots of movie sets including Jaws, Desperate Housewives, War of the Worlds and many more. It was strange to see what you thought were buildings turn out to be simply wood, foam and paint! Unfortunately we didn't see anyone famous but they were shooting a scene for an American series, although we hadn't heard of it.

We also went on some rides including The Simpsons, Transformers, Despicable Me and Shrek which were all very clever 3D simulations. We also went on a roller coaster themed to The Mummy as well stupidly going into the house of horrors where we were scared to death by actors hiding in all sorts of places!!!

Along with the rides there were shows put on including a water stunt show, a look at the different animals they use in films and how they train them (which now makes me want to try and train the cats) and a special effects show.

It's been a very busy but great day out especially in the Californian sun.
