Well, last summer I went to France and did some research. Cool, right?
The ACS Conference ment it was reunion time with Tim and Alma! We decided we would all share a hotel room which to be honest, I never thought Tim would agree to after the hell I put him through in France.
Speaking of the hell I put him through in France, we obviously ran into other people from the REU program that went to other places. The two people from Toulouse told Tim and I that our photos from the summer were like an exciting soap opera to them and that they were pretty sure we were dating. Clearly my plan worked. Poor Tim.
I basically went to nothing that I didn't have to go to in San Diego and explored the city and all that jazz.
I met up with people from my school and we explored some naval ship.
I was really excited to see Brittany and Kathryn who went to Brazil and Kathryn was in charge of finding us fun things to do. We went to an Irish pub one night and a dueling piano bar another.
Let me tell you, the dueling piano bar was fantastic. Because if there's one thing better than a regular piano bar with one pianist, it is a dueling piano bar with two pianists trying to out do each other. It was so fun.
And it's funny because basically all of those people are going to grad school now or on the track to do that...and I'm in Morehead, working at Cracker Barrel, about to go on a traveling spree.
You win some, you lose some.
