In Bangkok we ended up having plenty of time at the airport. the flight was reasonably fast as we were asleep most of the time.
we arrived into Heathrow it took forever taxing around in the plane. once we were off the aircraft we took the bus to terminal 5 (from one side of airport to the other) Going through security we had to empty all our pockets and even take our shoes off and then get a full pat down. we had to wait to find out what gate we were at then catch a train once we knew.
it was a quick flight to Paris. And again we collected our bags and just walked straight out the door. After we got some directions on what trains to catch we were on our way. Andrew and I navigated our way to the hostel but we couldnt access our room until 4oclock so we had to occupy ourselves for two hours in the pouring rain. we ordered expensive hot drinks from the cafe ($10 NZD) we had no idea what we ordered as it was allin french but ended up being a hot chocolate.
After dinner we went to a historic church a minutes walk from the hostel. we looked through the church it was huge and abit crowded as the choir was singing.
We had been up for hours minus the sleep on the plane so we had an early ish night.
