got up early to go for my very first surfing lesson! there were no wet suits in my size so i had to borrow the instructors one ( he is very skinny - called magoo!) unfortunately surfers dont tend to wear anything under their wetsuits! uurrgghh.........no choice unfortunately! well 2 hours later ( and lots of water up the nose!) i had mastered the 3 step method and was successfully standing up and surfing the green (before the wave breaks!) apparently i have a very natural style! it was so much fun and cant wait to have another go! feels so good when you stand up and surf along the wave!.....makes all those nose dives worth while!!!! look forward to my new surf chick status!!! in the afternoon we arrived at a farm in the middle of nowhere called 'eastenders farmstay'! decided to do a 2 hour horse trek! my horse was called 'tip top', was the smallest one there...........and looked like it had had a stroke! everyone was laughing but it suited me fine as all the other horses were crazy and had names like 'war-lord' and 'tyson'! after finally getting my horse to stop eating and move!...... we set off...........the scenery was amazing! we rode along the beach which was covered in the most amazing driftwood..........then the adventure began! one of the horses went psycho and flipped a guy off into the sea! once we knew he was ok it was just hilarious to watch him running along the beach trying to catch his horse who was galloping away at full speed! he lost a stirrup so while they all looked for it the rest of us waited at the end of the beach.............this is when gigi's horse decided to lie down! luckily she managed to get off just before it rolled over with its legs in the air! (whose laughing at my horse now, hey!) it was so funny. she just stood there with her american accent saying what we have grown to love......'what the hell does it thinks its doing!?' to make matters worse she discovered that whilst jumping off the horse she has stept in a huge pile of horse poo (with sandal shoes on!)!!!!! we laughed about it all evening! the rest of the ride was amazing.............like being cowboys riding up and down really steep hills! me and gigi were always at the back though so the guy in charge kept coming and hitting our horses which then made them shoot off really fast!..................not good when you are a beginner! finished the evening off with some marshmallows toasted on a camp fire!
