After my glacier hike i was looking forward to a relaxing day with a slow stroll up to the glacier face.................but no.........it was torrential rain!!!! at least i did my hike the day before! I spent the day being lazy, generally eating lots of junk food and watching tv......ahhhhhh bliss! Some of us then decided that we couldnt leave without having made use of the spa pool! It was soooo hot and i think we must have sat in it for about 2 hours in the pouring rain!!!! It was all quite amusing untill we had to run about 100m in the pouring rain...in our bikinis...........across the entire hostel (very spread out! ) I wish i had a picture of the people quietly sitting in the restaurant watching the rain when a load of girls run past half naked!!! it was sooooo funny!! mon 3rd Heading for Wanaka.........the weather was pretty bad again so we didnt stop much on the way. As the whole day had been pretty uneventful so i decided to make an effort cooking a decent meal and ended up with a huge plate of sausages, mash, brocolli and gravy........best meal i have had in ages!!!! spent the evening watching the new series of desperate housewives!!! Its amazing how a normal day can seem so boring when you are used to doing something crazy and new all the time!!!
