Happy Valentines Day oen and all!!!

Today we were in Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, and what a day it has been!

We did a long old drive in the death mobile!!!! Sandeep, our driver who will be with us for the next week, is very sweet and just keeps referring to the kaos that is the roads as "normal ma'am", "no rules ma'am". Oh that makes it all alright then!!! Did i mention there are no seatbelts!!!!!!

when we finally arrive in Agra we have to have a little lie down before we go out and face the public (i'm being a right old wimp i know, but this place scares me!!!)

We do Agra fort first - brillliant bit of architecture and a sneaky peek at the Taj Mahal in the distance.

We get followed as usual and people keep taking our photos. Some ask first (we say no a lot) other don't bother and try and do it covertly. It really is annoying. We have to pay extra to take pictures of anything in india so we are thinking of charging them!

The Taj Mahal we did at sunset. It involved going on a ricksure with this little old man who i thought was going to die hefting me and Becky around - bless him (we paid well for his efforts). After much confusion as to where to buy tickets and whether we were allowed to push in or not (we were by the way) we get inside the gates. The building itself is beutiful. No question. We got some cracking shots and as soon as i can find a computer with a usb port that works i will add them for you to see. Only problem is that its the national day off in India and every b***** and his wife is here today. It was manic and kind of spoiled it a bit. But it is still a pretty amazing build. All that for a man to prove he loved his wife!

We head out for Jaipur tomorrow - this is a whistle stop tour and thats fine by me!
