We got back to Bratislava around 830 and took the tram with Babi back to Rača to be sure she made it safe and sound. Then we packed for the night and hit the tram to downtown to meet Petra and Carly at a pub called animals. Petra told Niki as soon as we showed up in Slovakia that we were not allowed to make plans for that night because she had a surprise for Niki.
We found it no problem and arrived to her big surprise! Petra's sister Suzka was there. She was not in Slovakia 4 years ago when we were here last so Niki hadn't seen her forever! So we hung out at the pub with Petra, Suzka, her boyfriend and his friend, and Carly. The two Slovak guys figured we were in Slovakia so we had to drink like it. So after some beer and several shots it was time to head home. We walked to Vlčkova drank some water and called it a night.
This morning we got up at 930 and showered. Went upstairs to see Petra and she told us Babi had left but set out food for us at her side of the house. So we went down to a huge table full of food from cereal to bread cheese meat and even some hard boiled eggs.
After breakfast babi came home and wanted to have a drink with us. We decided we might as well test the theory that having a drink the next day helps with hangovers. We had some borovička which is a very strong pine tasting alcohol. Not so great on an uneasy stomach haha.
We looked at a bunch of old photo albums until lunch time. It was funny to see pictures of little Niki and Michelle with their cousins.
For lunch we had a Slovak meal called bryndzove halušky. It is small dumplings and white cheese sauce and bacon. Delicious!
After lunch we hung out looked at more photo albums and visited with Babi, Juraj, and Jannetta. Babi brought out the brandy and twisted my arm into having an afternoon drink with her. Niki wasn't going to have any because her stomach was still off and they convinced her it would help hahaha crazy Slovaks :) haha just kidding love you all!
As for the theory of drinks the next day making you feel better I don't know. I felt ok this morning and the pine booze was just weird. And Niki was just a bit off all day. Maybe because of the night before maybe because of the day.
We hung out with Petra and Carly for a little while and then they had to leave. They are off to Amsterdam for three days then Ireland and Petra returns home to London and Carly goes back home to Australia.
Once they left Juraj drove us back to Rača. Here we started laundry and blogging and ate some sviečkova and Niki and I split a beer. Now we will just do laundry and hang out with Babi and Dedo. We are all going to have a glass of wine and watch some Czech tv. I think our bodies will need a good detox in the desert this weekend! I can't believe we are leaving here so soon. The time has just flown by!
