Australian food. What a strange mix of american and english food with a huge asian flair for good measure. So far i tried vegemite, the spread that aussies love. A lot like really rich beef boullion. Kind of weird. I also tried kangaroo tonight on a burger. It wasn't as gamey as I thought it would be. Mostly everything is served with chips. Crumbed stuff is huge, from prawns to barramundi (a common fish). They love their wine and have it at every chance. They also all drink cappicinos. It is hard to order just a drip coffee. That is called a long black, and if you want coffee with milk it isa flat white. The photo is of Lamington cake. It was sponge cake rolled in cocoa and fine coconut. It was exquisite. The honey on kangaroo island was great. Made by linguan bees it is a bee sanctuary so they are very strict on what you can bring in. Can't wait to get home where the food is less expensive though.
