What a morning! I might really be crazy. Last night as I listened to the rain pouring down I thought that it would be a good excuse to take a bus or taxi for this section of the Camino. As I was hiking through waterfalls with water slushing in my boots, I realized I should have followed through on my initial instinct. Oh well, now that I'm okay it feels like an exciting adventure.
A seriously dangerous hike today. Torrential rain, flooding, and a mud slide. Made it through to Pamplona with the help of a few other hikers. Parts of the Camino were impassable on the edge of Pamplona. I was able to follow other streets to the bus station where I'm now waiting for a bus to take me on the next stage of my journey. Only a few of us braved the weather to get to Pamplona. Hoping for a real meal tonight and laundry facilities.
I'm actually eating now after my bus ride. The sun even came out.

Neil While I wouldn't necessarily call it a pleasure of outdoors activities, one of the revelations of being committed to being outside is that you learn to live with, appreciate, ignore, and even enjoy all sorts of weather. Glad you didn't ride into town on a wave of mud!
Susan Glad you made it to town!
Alice Sending positive thoughts for excellent hiking weather from this point forward!
robin sunny sky, cool air wishes ahead....
