Welcome to Santorini!
We arrived to the island yesterday evening via plane from Athens. The flight was approximately 50 minutes compared to an 8 hour ferry.
So far we have done a little exploring of our “neighborhood” on the island. The Aegean sea is one side and the mountains on the other. There is boardwalk filled with hotels, food, and shops all within walking distance. Lazaro did a run on the boardwalk while I walked scoping out adventures we can do while we are here.
This afternoon we are going to take an organized trip to some traditional villages with a stop in Oia (pronounced Eeia) to see the sunset.
Tomorrow we are going to take a sunset cruise and see the caldera.
