Today was our first leg of the trip. We traveled from North Carolina to Florida. We encountered rain in every state. We got stuck in traffic only once which isn't bad for traveling on 95 on Christmas eve. We made two stops. First we visited with my aunt Martha, and saw Carol, Kevin, Kyle, and Lauren. Then we stayed with my dear friend DeAnna and her family. Tomorrow we will see my brother and his wife before we head to the airport.

T minus 1. Tomorrow morning, Lazaro and I begin our vacation. This vacation will be like every other vacation that we have taken--a whirlwind tour crossing several states and entering new countries. Hello San Antonio! Today we arrived to San Antonio where we will spend the remainder of our vacation here. Lazaro and I have traveled a couple of times to San Antonio but this trip I have finally observed the magic (maybe because it wasn't 100 degrees in the shade). We enjoyed ourselves walking around the city and taking in the sites.

And so we walked. This morning we left Guadalajara and flew to Monterrey. We were lucky enough to catch a bus from monterrey to Neuvo Laredo. (The Mexican side of Laredo). We were ready to transfer buses to finish going all the way into the United States.
