I am now in Hobart. I ended up spending 4 nights in Launceston.
I went for a walk to Cataract Gorge, which was really nice, it was a nice day aswell. I walked along the top of the Gorge and then got to the main part where the Chair lift was, it was $12 one way or $15 both so I did both ways, it was pretty scary to begin with as you was only held in by a bar but it was really good fun. Once I got to the other side of the Gorge I had some lunch then went in to the cafe and had a nice hot chocolate. It was really warm so i sat on a bench for a while and read my book.
I went on a day trip to Cradle Mountain, it was a really nice day when I left the hostel but when we got to Cradle Mountain it was freezing!! I didnt even have my scarf and hat but could have done with them! Luckily the bus driver had some spare coats and hats so I managed to keep warm. It was so cloudy that you couldn't even see the Mountain but we went for a walk around the lake at the bottom which was really nice there were some little beaches around it too but it was too cold to stop and sunbathe!! It took about 2 hours to walk around and I was the first one back to the bus! On the way back we stopped at a Honey farm and a cheese factory.
On my last day I went to City Park to see the monkeys, they were just randomly in a cage at one end of the park. Not really sure what the point of them was but they were pretty cool. I really liked Launceston, I thought it was really pretty and there was lots to do there.
So like I say I am now in Hobart, I timed it to get here for Saturday so that I could go to Salamanca Markets. When I was heading to the market the road I was walking down was being cordened off and people were sitting by the road so I asked a lady what was going on and there was a Christmas parade so I stopped to watch, it was pretty good fun. Then I headed down to the markets. I had so much fun! The markets were huge! I got a few bits and pieces, manly Christmas presents.
By the harbour thier was a guy advertising a trike ride around the town, it looked really fun so I enquired about it and decided to do it. It was so much fun! It was $30 for 15 minutes. We went down some really steep roads and it was pretty scary as I could feel the G force and the helmet felt like it was going to fall off!! It was good fun though.
When I got back to the hostel I noticed that I had caught the sun!!
