These past four/five days have been pretty much spent in a drunken blur so i'll try and remember everything!! Haven't done much apart from laze about on the beach during the day although miss Cox didn't even make it on the beach one of those days!! we're so bad, we had to upgrade our room to air con after our first hangover where we thought we was dying. what started as in innocent night turned into hitting the bars in the red light area. Met a comedy old man in yellow trousers who kept on going on about him having two daughters and he doesn't really get in to the whole thai girlfriend thing!! yeah right!! All the women here thogh are really friendly, not as scary as in Patong, where it was a bit of a meat fest! Sunday night we went to a Muay thai boxing match, which it felt pretty obligatory to drink beer. Jess didn't think she'd like it, but apparently she enjoyed the violence as much as I did. no blood though unfortunately!
We wasn't going to drink Monday night either cause a) we was knackered and b) Full moon was Tues. But we was so bored!! it had rained half the day so our only break from doing nothing was a couple of hours on the beach. And we don't have a tv and even books were getting a bit boring. So to cure our boredom we sat on our terrace drinking Chang for 80p for a large bottle (see guilt free drinkin when its that cheap). its actually really nice, don't usually like beer but you can drink loads of Chang cause its not very fizzy. Gave us fits of giggles though and had to try very hard to be sensible when we went out for dinner. We ended up going to an Irish bar and drinkin more long Islands, where we admittted to each other that we don't really like them they just seemed to have the most alcohol in them! There was quite a good band on that night too, rock band from the phillipenes, Ended up playing a bit of pool with a couple of Irish lads and stayin up far too late. Funny we saw them on the boat to koh pangan on Tuesday and we all looked a state. They was drinkin the ice teas as well and we think maybe we have gone off them now!!
We got in to pangan about 7 and went to find Jenny who was staying in the most gorgeous bungalows. It's really hilly over there and the huts were kinda built into the cliff edge with a small private beach. it had its own little hang out place which did food and had pillows scattered all over the place. and it was just as cheap as everywhere else. So if any one is going to ko pangan it's called 'harmony' in Ban Kai. ban kai is a five minute drive from Hat Rin which is where all the action is but places there are more expensive and noisy. We headed out at about ten that evening with jenny, charlene (german girl we met) and five irish girls who were stayin at harmony aswell. we had dinner first, and at this point my hangover was so bad i thought i was going to be sick or something!! the night didn't start off very well. it was kinda intimidating all the massive wreck heads about when you yourself were sober. we had loads of boys comin up to our table, most were fine and just drunk, but others were gurning and tryin to throw valium in our drinks. luckily for us not very subtley! I decided the only way was too get drunk and get drunk i did!! everyone drinks buckets out there with samsung (no idea of the spellin but its a thai whiskey) with coke and red bull- there red bull is like medicine not like ours. it made the drink tase quite sweet and nice which was good for me at that point! I didn't really no what to expect when we headed down to the beach. the other girls had been partying there on previous nights so they had some idea. It was just packed! the beach was just heaving, it was awesome. we got all the UV body paint aswell wish we got a disposable camera ! altohugh i'm sure i wouldnt of looked to pretty! All the beach bars were right next to each other and they were all blastin out Music from Trance-pop-and drum and bass. the rest was all a blur, all i remember was having a wicked time and dancin all night. lost everyone about 1 or two but met so many people you wouldn't believe! I don't remember the sun rise all I remember was it being dark at one point and then suddenly light. Jess stayed with Charlene and wasn't really drinkin and said she saw loadsa people passed out and vomiting and sleeping on the beach. I do not remember seein anything. although we can both agree we didn't see any type of police or fights or anything like that. At some point during the night I met a Thai boy, and his sister and they were so nice and I went back to theirs. Altohugh there was one point when i woke up at about midday in hut and didn't have a clue where I was! Luckily it all started to come back when I saw everyone else. we was round the back of a tattoo shop (at first i thought i was in the middle of the jungle!) and everyone else was drinkin after havin a couple of hours sleep from the mornin, think we got in about eight. Everyone was so nice though and there were four more brothers and one more sister and an irish dude who'd just fallen off his motorbike. I attempted some more drink and ate grapes from the tree and raw peas from pods which was a plant litterally just next to me. I have decided I want to be like them when I am older :) it was main of the cool. After i'd been shown all the pets, baby crocodiles, 2 pigs, a white rabbit and hurdreds of dogs. (everywhere has hundreds of dogs in samui they are everywhere) and chatted for a bit I remembered i should probally go find jess before she strated to ring round all the hospitals! Managed to crash in a ditch on a motorbike on the way home (dont worry i wasnt driving, and it was just when we pulled over that we toppled) only minor grazes though. then fell down the hill, slightly less minor grazes! then noticed that i'd cut my little toe badly and burnt my back which seriously hurts at the party. do not know how, but probally hurt my toe as a result of losin my shoes! I thought i'd had a bad hangover the day before this was definatley my worst one ever. I couldnt eat at all, managed some bread late at night. but was much of a struggle keeping that down. was worth it though had probally one of the best nights of my life and only wish I could of drank more and stayed longer!! apparently the after partys last for two days! Oh and it was so sweet Alex, the thai boy gave me his anklet. not sure how long i'll be able to wear it for that much longer though as it has bells in it and jess is giving me death glares!
Was still hungover this morning but i almost feel normal now!! had a little trip round the islands which was nice, saw lots of buddha and monkeys and staff. quite clever really they teach the monkeys to harvest the coconuts. humans can only manage about one hundred a day whereas monkeys can manage 500 hundred. we all got to have one sit on our shoulder afterwards and when it sat on jess's shoulder it pulled her top down!!! bloody hilarious!! tomorrow we have the epic journey to Bangkok where we have so much planned. no more drinkin till oz, from now on we are doing sightseeing lol.
Thailand has grown on me sooo much and now I dont want to leave wanna go and stay in ko pangan. jess is currently lookin up places for us to get our hair cuts in Sydney so thats kinda swinging it a bit.... lol
