Can't be too long, need to get ready to go out!! Just letting everyone no that we are safe and well. Our hostel is lovely and clean and air conditioned, however little India, where it is, was initially a bit of a culture shock!!! We arrived quite late and got extremely lost and confused before finally managing to flag down a taxi to take us straight to Raffles!
Which I thought was quite uninteresting to be honest, Singapore Sling was nice but $22 dollars!!! (about a tenner) seriousely the drinks are expensive here. We ended up having dinner in Little India which was amazing, all vegetarian aswell. But they didn't even serve beer as they're all Muslim.
Thursday we did the shopping along Orchard road bit, then had a walk around the Botanical gardens. They have turtles in their lake!! way cooler then ducks!!
For the evening we headed off to the night safari, quite scary there are no barriers!!!We saw rhino, elephants (which the jxxx(jess disallowed me to call them that) screamed at it and it trumpeted!) a hell of a lot of deer, tiger, hippos etc etc. by then we were absolutely knackered and headed home for bed.
Today has been wicked. went to sentosa on a death trap cable car in the rain and thunder (!) went on the best simulator we have ever been on, and almost died in cinema 4d!! of which jess claims we saw at euro disney, which we did not.
we saw the merlion and went to an underwater world, where jess touched up ray and sharks and we saw MASSIVE crabs and turtles!! oh yeah, and we also climbed up the merlion to see the views, which were crap as half the views were obscured by a building site. The absolute best part of the day was when we went to see the pink dolphins in a show of which I volunteered to take part in!!!!
I had to hulla hoop along with two others, as did the dolphins probally to prove that they are better then us!! Then i got in with them!!! and it kissed me and i stroked its belly and it blew me a song. jess finds it strange how i wouldnt touch the baby sharks but didnt mind the dolphins?! dude they are sharks!!!! jess said she'd hold a snake next so i will not let her back outta that one.
anyway, we are starving so heading off to chinatown now........
will put pics up when we have more time

So we went to china town it was amazia!!! lots of pretty chinese lantarns, and shops selling incense and statues of Buddah and other such paraphenalia. we found a set of hawker stools, grabbed a tiger beer and sat down. jess kept the table and i went off to choose the food!! we ended up having fresh sting ray(!) steamed rice, pak choi, and Laksa (apparently its a local speciality. it was alright, but it had bread and egg floating in it?!) the sting ray was a gorgeous fish and cooked perfectly!
after dinner we headed up to clark quay, so easy just a mrt stop away. its amazia there as well. bright lights and bars and restaurants on each side of the quay. needless to say we found somewhere that sold wine($50 a bottle!-bought 22quid) and proceeded to get battered!! we even had a long island in hooters!
feel so rough today though!! (saturday-i think) we're heading off to a desert island so you prob won't here from us in a while, need some r and r! wish us luck getting there!!
