So it's now Thursday and I am in Sydney all by myself!! Charlotte and Jess are flying to queensland and i flew back to Sydney this morning. Still in shock that my hostel room has no plug sockets. bit rubbish but hey!
I think last time i wrote on here I mentioned we was going to maits rest and mariners falls? Well we did and they was both lovely walks in the rainforest and me and Jess got to see another waterfall, although our first in Australia. Did I mention we saw Koalas in Kennet something or other? Well after that we kept spotting them on the side of the road. We even saw a rather animated mother and baby swinging from the trees. They are so cute! We had a couple of really cold horrid days, so much so that I avoided seeing the twelve apostles as I was freezing and there were so many flies! ( was in a bit of a mood that morning lol) Unfortunately I had a bit of a lack of funds for kangaroo island, so instead of that we stayed an extra night in Port fairy which was really nice as the weather was hot! and the beach, like everywhere else, was lovely. We even treated ourselves to a posh brunch, and the Sunday papers. Then I spent most of the rest of that day sleeping on the beach!
The journey to Adelaide was HORRENDOUS! Monday was even hotter then Sunday and we travelled inland and it was so hot like it must have been plus forty! All three of us crammed in the front with glaring sun light for nine hours it was like torture! We must have drank 15litres of water between us no joke! When we did arrive it was one of our hottest nights yet and was such an uncomfortable sleep. We could only stay in some kind of caravan park with very questionable residents. It did have a bath though and I managed my second one in 5months! For the last two nights we got in to a holiday park which was much more our style. We've stayed in some nice campsites. one even had an en-suite! Got a bit of a thing for bbq'd food now! they are everywhere, very handy! Its a bit bad but we didn't even go into the city. Was just to hot! Instead we had a day around the town in Glenelg. It was a very lovely, touristy town on the beach and me and Jess wandered around window shopping and exploring. Our last day in Adelaide we went to Cleland wildlife park, which was wicked fun. We fed kangaroos and stroaked a koala! Finished off the day with a swim in the sea and headed out for a dinner, a treat on our last night!
Even though my back is killing me from the camper will miss having to share a tiny space with 2 other people :) So now I have to go back to work and probally won't update much until I do a bit more travelling as there probally won't be much to tell! xxxxx
