We have jobs!!! We were so lucky to get one's near enough the same time! Soooo offended, we must have handed out about 50 resumes! No joke, we should be fighting them off lol. Well anyway mine is a place called 'Hotel Coronation', would you say thats ironic? or just funny?! I don't know! It is in the CBD right near 'town Hall'. Jess is workin five minutes away from me, in Darling Harbour, in a restaurant called fish face. It's quite funny, her t-shirt for work is a nice simple black one, however it does say 'eat fish' on the front!
I LOVE my job, all the people who work there who i've met are really friendly, and really hard working and the bar is SPOTLESS. EVERYTHING gets puts away after it's been used especially when its really busy. Its like bar working heaven. And everything is laid out so conveniently and everything is performed really efficiently. The really hard bits at the moment is drunk people! Because every bar has to give 'responsible service of alcohol' and have done that course. you can't serve anyone who is intoxicated. which can sometimes be quite hard to judge and i do feel like a bit of a tosser telling someone that! surely you go to the pub to get wasted?! or maybe it's not how they do things in the rest of the world?! or maybe its just whitstable i don't know?! well anyway, I try and avoid it the best I can but because I really do not want a 5000 dollar fine, or the sack I've had to face up to it a few times. And i've had a few aggressive people, but am toughening up on it (a bit) now !
Last night I met jess after work and we had a couple of drinks in darling harbour, it was there we discovered if you work in hospitality you get drinks discounts!! It's just like being back in France and being a 'seasonaire' always got cheaper drinks there too!
It's nice I've got back into my daytime tv watching, they have a lot of american shows here. Everyone should watch the view, and the ellen degeneres show, main of the good. Not much else really to say, apart from we are going to the Maritime Museum tomorrow, planning on doing one day trip a week to see everything sydney has!
